About IGP

We're stewards of legacy and growth.

We started Intentional Growth Partners to do acquisitions a different way — patient, honest, and rooted in the belief that a great business deserves to outlive its founder.

Our story

Built by an operator who's been in your boots.

Our founder built a service business from the ground up — Randy's Electric — learning firsthand what it takes to hire well, serve customers honestly, and grow without losing your soul. The guiding motto along the way was simple: be a blessing.

That experience shapes how we work today. We know a business is more than a balance sheet — it's the people who built it, the customers who trust it, and the family who sacrificed for it. When it's time to transition, those things deserve a steward, not a strip-miner.

So we built IGP to carry good businesses forward: protecting what made them strong, then growing them with intention for the long haul.

The people behind the process

The people behind the promise

Three operators who believe hard work should build lasting opportunity — for your team, your customers, and your family.

Dan Smith

Dan Smith

Dan is the visionary behind Intentional Growth Partners — a builder who sees not just what a business is, but what it can become. With a deep conviction that great companies deserve to outlive their founders, he leads IGP with a long-term view: acquire well, steward faithfully, and grow with intention.

His leadership is rooted in the belief that vision without people is just a dream, and people without process won't last. Dan brings the clarity, patience, and operational wisdom needed to turn today's promise into a legacy that endures for generations.

Jason Ake

Jason Ake

Jason is the creative force behind how IGP's partner businesses show up in the world — translating each company's strengths into clear brand positioning, compelling messaging, and marketing systems that drive real growth.

As a marketing strategist and creative lead, he believes great marketing starts with deep listening: understanding the business, the customer, and the story only that founder can tell. From there, he crafts strategies that don't just look good — they attract the right people, build trust, and create durable momentum for the long haul.

Hailey Smith

Hailey Smith

Hailey Smith is the connective tissue across the Intentional Growth Partners portfolio, leading strategic initiatives and partnership development alongside Dan Smith and each partner company. She works shoulder-to-shoulder with founders to strengthen strategy, sharpen execution, and build businesses that are both profitable and principled — whether shaping brand direction, driving business development, or helping launch new companies. Her work sits at the intersection of strategy and relationships, guided by a consistent approach: listen first, build carefully, and never lose sight of the people behind the business.

How we grow what we acquire

Six components of an enduring business

We don't strip businesses for short-term gains. We strengthen the roots — the six things every healthy company needs to grow for generations.

01

Vision

A clear, shared picture of where the business is headed — and the conviction to get there together.

02

People

The right team in the right seats. We protect the people and culture that made the business work.

03

Data

A handful of honest numbers that tell the truth about the business, every single week.

04

Issues

Surfacing problems openly and solving them at the root — not papering over the symptoms.

05

Process

The core ways of working, documented and followed, so quality holds as the business grows.

06

Traction

Discipline and accountability that turn the vision into real, compounding momentum.

What we stand for

Honor, integrity, and a long-term vision.

We believe lasting growth starts underground, in the roots: the team, the customers, the culture, and the values. Strengthen those, and everything above can grow for generations.

We're not here for a quick flip. We're here to build the kind of business you'd be proud to have your name on for decades.
